At the heart of our BCE family is a six year old girl with Leukemia (AML). The past year most of her time has been spent at the hospital for treatments, typically staying for weeks at a time. Currently, she is in the ICU fighting for her life. The family of six have not been all together for several months. They are living on one income, and the medical bills are endless. Let's take their minds off cancer for just a little while to lift this family up! Please pray for this sweet, young girl and her family.

Lets lift this family up with a Christmas they will never forget. Lets help them escape the worry of their current family situation. Lets show them we care and they are not NEVER alone. This spring they found out that their son with Down Syndrome has Leukemia and has been enduring chemo. In June their toddler had viral meningitis, has reverted back to a 9 month old and thus was just recently diagnosed with a rare syndrome that affects the brain, spinal cord, and immune system. It generally is either fatal or results in the child being in a persistent vegetative state. They have a new baby that has a 1 in 4 chance of also having this syndrome. The father has quit his job to provide 1 on 1 care for their toddler and the mother has had to take a lot of work off. There are two other children that I am sure are also affected by all of this.

The Woll/Wilson Team "Giving Hope, Sparks Joy" has chosen a family of 6, 3 little girls (ages 9, 6, & 5), and 1 little boy age 8. The father has a rare autoimmune disease known as Henoch-Schönlein purpura or HSP. The father is in need of a Kidney Transplant and was supposed to start dialysis this year, however when he was supposed to begin dialysis, he was diagnosed with COVID-19. That said, the family is currently all in quarantine & the father will need to wait to start dialysis until after he recovers from the virus. With an already compromised immune system, COVID has been a scary diagnosis for this family. All under one roof, quarantined, a sick family member, medical bills, virtual schooling & four young kids to feed, we are hoping to bless this family with the 'Best Christmas Ever'.

Family 1: One mother, two daughters – ages 18 and 20 The father was killed in car accident which injured both daughters who survived. The injuries that have been sustained by both daughters are life-long trauma related injuries requiring ongoing treatment and support. The family struggles every day making ends meet for basic needs and has no additional financial or family support. Family 2: One mother, two young boys – ages 2 and 3 The father passed away recently of sudden cardiac arrest, leaving behind two young sons. The mother works as a registered nurse and continues to give back in her profession. Every day continues to be a challenge in this new normal being a nurse, a widow, a single-mom, all while caring for patients in this COVID environment.

2020 has been hard enough; but, for this family of 7 - it's like adding insult to injury. Having suffered inexplicable loss as life handed them the following events: Family member killed in George Floyd riots. Family home was hit by a drunk driver who ran their car into the living room. Family forced to move to a hotel due to home being "unlivable". Family endured financial hardship for having to pay for hotel for 3 months while finding alternative housing. Family temporarily lost children for having to live in hotel. Another family member passed away suddenly. Family member broke foot. The list goes on - bottom line: This is more than any average family should endure. Although they would be happy with anything, we would love to bless this family of 7 with the Christmas of their dreams! That said, anything you would consider gifting, whether it be cash donations, or gifts, we will happily accept on their behalf as we are scheduled to SURPRISE them just before Christmas Day!
